Palm Sunday Statement
New York, NY - Today, Hof Law pauses to solemnly commemorate Palm Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week with reverence and reflection. In observance of this sacred day, our virtual offices are respectfully closed.
As we enter this time of spiritual renewal, our thoughts and prayers are especially with the victims of the devastating roof collapse at the Jet Set Night Club in the Dominican Republic. We hold in our hearts the memory of those lost and the sorrow of their grieving families, friends, and community.
We are mindful of the consoling words and prayers offered by His Holiness Pope Francis, who telegrammed the Bishop of the Dominican Republic with heartfelt condolences and assurances of spiritual closeness. Hof Law echoes these sentiments, standing in solemn solidarity with all who mourn.
As a firm proudly serving the people and businesses of New York City — a city deeply connected to the Dominican Republic — the firm joins our fellow New Yorkers in supporting Mayor Eric Adams as he travels to the site of the tragedy to offer condolences on behalf of our shared community. We wish him safe and gentle travels and thank him for carrying the message of mourning and unity on our behalf.
May this Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025, be a moment of collective prayer, remembrance, and peace. We pray that all who grieve may find comfort in the days ahead, and that the spirit of Holy Week renews our shared hope and compassion.
